If you’re experiencing issues with not being able to load World Machine, the best thing to do is log a ticket:
Here’s a few questions that will help track this down:
- What operating system version are you using? (e.g. Windows 10)
- Have you run any previous versions of World Machine without running into this issue?
- World Machine creates a log file in %APPDATA%\World Machine Standard\worldmachine_log.txt. If that file exists, include the contents.
There are also a few steps you can take to try to resolve this problem on your own. Problems opening World Machine are usually due to path or permission issues. Open the folder “%APPDATA%\World Machine <Standard|Professional>” and delete the file world.ini that exists there.
This will trigger World Machine to re-install itself for your current user, and often fixes path problems.
